2021年4月，神经外科吴劲松教授带领神经外科研究所脑功能实验室牵头国际多中心研究，以 “Functional maps of direct electrical stimulation-induced speech arrest and anomia: a multicenter retrospective study” （Lu et al, 2021）为题，以 “主编推荐 （Editor’s Choice）” 形式在神经科学和神经病学的权威期刊Brain杂志（中科院1区，IF 13.501）上发表。2021年5月，在上述语言图谱工作的基础上，复旦大学附属华山医院神经外科吴劲松/路俊锋团队就 “哪里是大脑真正Broca区（运动性语言中枢） “的问题以 “Where is the speech production area? Evidence from direct cortical electrical stimulation mapping”(Zhao et al, 2021)为题以长篇通讯形式再次在神经科学权威期刊Brain杂志（中科院1区，IF 13.501）上发表。该工作提出了真正的运动性语言中枢在中央前回腹侧部，为“Broca区损伤不会导致长期言语产生障碍”提供了重要的电生理证据。
2021年3月，神经内科丁玎研究员协同国内外专家共同撰写的综述以《抗癫痫在中国：20年征程（Epilepsy in China: major progress in the last two decades)》为题在Lancet Neurology(中科院1区，IF=44)发表。
